The Victorian Racing Club’s (VRC) MYER Spring Fashion Lunch is an essential date on any racing aficionado’s calendar, the debut event of the Spring Racing season that each year sets the tone for the Melbourne Cup Carnival. VRC engaged LYP Events to create a memorable, aspirational, and aesthetically stunning kick-off for the carnival, ensuring that the creative tone was in-line with current fashion trends and that the event was unforgettable for all attendees.
As well as signalling the start of racing season, the MYER spring-summer showcase is one of the most highly anticipated runway events, setting spring fashion trends and cementing MYER’s mecca of global designers as fashion leaders. Therefore, the environmental design and styling of the event played a crucial role in introducing this new collection to fashion fans.
Understanding that a key challenge for the event is ensuring that all attendees have a clear view of the fashion on show, we designed a rotating carousel runway set and stage that provided the perfect platform to hero each designer whilst, crucially, ensuring that regardless of where guests were seated they could enjoy a spectacular show.
Featuring a live performance from award winning singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell, along with runway appearances from MYER’s brand ambassadors, this year’s MSFL provided the 700+ fashion forward attendees with an elevated, engaging and immersive experience.
